Getting Started

Build your first roadmap in minutes

Follow these steps to create, organize, and share your product roadmap. No account required to get started.

01

Create your first roadmap

Click the workspace dropdown in the sidebar and select "New Roadmap". Give it a name that reflects your product or project.

Tips

  • Use scenarios to explore different planning options
  • Each roadmap is automatically saved locally
  • Sign in to sync across devices
02

Add items to your roadmap

Click and drag on the timeline to create a new item. Choose the type that best fits: Initiative, Epic, Feature, Story, Task, or Bug.

Tips

  • Initiatives are high-level strategic bets
  • Epics break down into features and stories
  • Tasks and bugs are the smallest work units
03

Organize by product areas

Product areas appear as swimlanes on your roadmap. Add new areas by clicking the "Add Area" button in the sidebar, or create them on-the-fly when adding items.

Tips

  • Each area can have a distinct color
  • Collapse areas to focus on what matters
  • Move items between areas by drag and drop
04

Build item hierarchies

Connect items by selecting "Set Parent" in the item details panel. Switch to the Hierarchy view to visualize parent-child relationships as a flow diagram.

Tips

  • Multi-level nesting: Initiative → Epic → Story → Task
  • Child items can extend beyond their parent dates
  • Dependencies are separate from hierarchy
05

Define strategic priorities

Open the Strategy view to create priorities and goals. Link roadmap items to goals to track progress toward your strategic objectives.

Tips

  • Goals can span multiple product areas
  • Priority progress is calculated from linked items
  • Use colors to create visual groupings
06

Share with stakeholders

Click the Share button in the sidebar to generate a public link. Recipients can view your roadmap without logging in.

Tips

  • Share links are read-only
  • Export to PDF for presentations
  • PNG export for embedding in documents
